Il 13 maggio siamo andati per la prima volta a Torino Comics!
Cominciando le peripezie dal volo aereo (ovviamente in ritardo) alla visita di Torino (tutta a piedi in mezza giornata) passando per la cena organizzata dall’anaco (in cui ci siamo divertiti da morire… bevendo pure un po’ troppo!)… siamo arrivati al Lingotto (luogo della fiera) con un mal di piedi da ricordare negli annali!!
La fiera era abbastanza piccola, considerando gli ampi spazi disponibili e in concomitanza con la Fiera del Libro (Fumetti VS Libri? Scontro epico!!), vedere cosplayers misti a signore ingioiellate (che momenti svenivano alla visione di un costume) è stato davvero buffo ma a tratti anche pesante (specialmente per i commenti)!
Per l’occasione ho realizzato il costume di Malefix (il cattivo dei “Ghostbusters” della Filmation) e devo dire che la sorpresa è stata che ben pochi cosplayer mi hanno riconosciuto ma ci sono stati bambini (piccolissimi per altro) che gridavano divertiti il nome di Malefix (sarà che a Torino qualche rete privata lo sta ritrasmettendo?)… la cosa mi ha fatto davvero piacere!!
La gara si è svolta nel ben mezzo di un centro commerciale, luogo decisamente poco consono all’evento in quanto scomodo e soprattutto non piacevoli alcuni commenti dei “passanti” che ovviamente non si aspettavano una cosa del genere nel bel mezzo degli acquisti domenicali! La presentazione è stata carina e divertente (Saki è stato decisamente geniale). Bellissimi i cosplay tra cui ricordo quello del gruppo di Berserk, una bellissima principessa Tomoyo e una carinissima esibizione di Yu trasformata in Creamy! Il vestito di Nadiask di Ashe sposa dal vivo è ancora meglio che in foto: sublime!! Ma erano davvero tanti e non finirei mai ad elencarli tutti! Siamo stati felicissimi di incontrare vecchi amici e di conoscerne di nuovi, tra cui Sermemole che indossava un originalissimo vestito di Nanà Supergirl (è un mito!).
Di negativo c’è da dire che una cosa veramente fastidiosa era la distanza dal luogo della gara alla fiera stessa (veramente un po’ troppo lontano) e giri assurdi per solo trovare il posto in cui davano il biglietto per poter rientrare (che valeva una sola volta) ma tutto sommato è stata una bellissima giornata con altrettanto bellissima introduzione con una cena sabato sera ad un ottimo ristorante messicano (credo che Ota ancora sia sotto l’effetto della sangria… ehm ed anche io!).
Colgo l’occasione per ringraziare Puchiko e Ota che sono stati disponibilissimi e fare tanti tanti complimenti a tutti i cosplayers!!

On May 13th we went for the first time to Torino Comics!
Our adventure started with the fly (obviously the plane was late!!!), then was the time of Torino’s touristictour (entirely done by feet in half a day!!!), in the evening the dinner organized by A.Na.Co. (Italian National Cosplay Association)… finally we arrived to “Lingotto” centre (the place were fair was settled) with our feet completely destroyed!!! The fair was not very big, especially if we consider that there were a lot of place available, but this year the comic fair was in contemporarily with the annual book fair (coics Vs books? an epic match!) … to see cosplayers walking nearjewelled ladies (so surprised in seeing our costumes) it was very funny but sometimes also hard to tolerate (especially due to comments)! For the occasion I realized the costume of Malefix (the evil character of Filmation’s Ghostbusters) and I have to say that I was very surprised that few cosplayers recognized the character, but on he contrary very much children (some of them really young) recognized it and said, amused, the name of Malefix (maybe some private network is waving this anime in Torino?) and it was really satisfying! The contest was played in the main court of a commercial centre, place not really appropriate for the happening, infact it was not handy and most of all it was unpleasant to ear unkind comments from people doing their Sunday shopping. However it was very well introduced by four members of A.Na.Co. (Saki was a genius in doing it!). The cosplays were very nice, and most of all I was impressed by the group of Berserk, by a marvellous princess Tomoyo and a very nice transformation of Yu/Creamy! The dress of Ashe bride by Nadiask is fantastic, better than you can imagine seeing pictures. But thy were so many and I can’t numerate them one by one. We were very happy to meet old ad new friends, one of whom was Sermemole who ward an original costume of Nanà supergirl (what a myth!!!). Concluding it was a very nice day with a very nice introduction, a good dinner in a fantastic Mexican restaurant (I think Ota is still a little bit drunk due to sangrilla… ehmm and so I!!!), the only inconvenient think we have to note is that the place were cosplay contest was done is a little bit far from the fair place, a little bit too far in our opinion and the fact that was not so easy to find the box office (add to it that tickets could be used only one time…)
