Per lo spettacolo “On-Line” mi sono lasciato ispirare dal famoso manga “Chobits” delle CLAMP e dagli anni ’30! Le coreografie sono tranquille per lasciare spazio ai veri protagonisti: i computer, infatti Chii, Sumomo e Yuzuki si alternano accompagnate dai relativi “proprietari” Hideki, XXX, e Minoru.
Ogni pezzo spiega un aspetto caratteriale dei personaggi; sulle note di “I hear you everywhere” Chii mostra il suo disagio nell’essere una macchina e provare sentimenti verso il suo Hideki mentre Sumomo, nel duetto con XXX (“Groove * Master”) gioca tentando di far ballare tutti al tempo del suo fischietto.
Uno dei momenti più belli è il duetto “Beyond” tra Yuzuki e Minoru, dove quest’ultimo esterna i suoi sentimenti verso un computer (proprio Yuzuki) che in realtà è la sosia della sorella persa.
Oltre alle canzoni ispirate al cartone animato è presente “Now I’m following you – Part I” di Madonna per accompagnare ancora di più negli anni ‘30 Hideki e Chii dopo “Katakoto no koi ”.
Uno spettacolo carino ma malinconico dove i personaggi delle CLAMP prendono davvero vita con tutto il loro umorismo ma anche con tutte le loro delusioni.

To realize the play “on line” I let the famous CLAMP’s manga “Chobits” and 30’s inspire me. Choreographies are quiet, because I wanted to put the spotlight on the real protagonists: computers, in fact Chii, Sumomo and Yuzuki alternate,each one with its own owner: Hideki (Chii), XXX (Sumomo), Minoru (Yuzuki).
Each song explains a part of character’s character, “I hear you everywhere” play’s Chii hardship for being a machine and feeling love for Hideki, while Sumomo, in her duet with XXX, plays trying to make all dance at the sound of her whistle.
One of the most beautiful moments is the duet on the song “Beyond” made by Minoru and Yuzuki, where Minoru plays his feelings for a computer (exactly Yuzuki) who was made by Minoru to be as most similar as possible to his dead sister. Apart from the songs taken from the anime, I inserted in the play the song “Now I’m following you- part I” by Madonna, to bring as more as possible Chii and Hideki in 30’s after they danced on “Katakoto no koi”.
A nice but melancholic play, where CLAMP’s characters are really alive with their humour and sadness.
