Splendide giornate d’ottobre hanno fatto da cornice alla 6ª Edizione di Romics, il festival del Fumetto e dell’Animazione. Fin dal primo giorno si avvertiva nell’aria quella voglia di rincontrarsi, di scambiare commenti ed impressioni sui costumi o sui personaggi interpretati. Stand, mostre, anteprime, tutto era pronto per accogliere gli appassionati in fila, già dalle prime ore del mattino, per tuffarsi in quei mondi animati. Gli ormai consueti Giochi di Ruolo e Tornei di diverse specialità si facevano spazio tra il cortile e un’area Ludica messa a nuovo e ingrandita rispetto agli anni scorsi.
Un grande ospite come Silver, mitico disegnatore del nostro "azzurrissimo" LUPO ALBERTO, creava file interminabile di fan pronti ad aspettare per uno schizzo dell’artista. Una persona squisita e molto gentile, con cui abbiamo passato ore molto piacevoli, Silver ha addirittura prolungato di un altro giorno la sua presenza al Romics. Oltre a lui, un altro appuntamento importante è stato quello con il disegnatore giapponese, Satoshi Kon, che ha molto divertito gli studenti con i suoi disegni e i suoi fumetti.
E anche quest’anno, il celebre Galà del Doppiaggio è riuscito a riempire gli oltre 1000 posti del Palafiera, ottenendo uno successo clamoroso con l’assegnazione del prestigioso premio Ferruccio Amendola.
Noi, intanto, raccoglievamo più di 100 iscrizioni al giorno. Il nuovo regolamento, firmato e attentamente letto da ogni partecipante, non ha creato questa volta grossi problemi o generali malcontenti. Le selezioni nei giorni di sabato e domenica hanno dato la possibilità a tutti di salire sul palco ed esibirsi.
E finalmente ecco arrivare il tanto atteso giorno della gara, che quest’anno si prospettava più difficile del solito: numerosissimi infatti erano i costumi in concorso e tra questi molti eranodi straordinaria precisione, nella media la qualità dei costumi era decisamente superiore a quella degli anni precedenti ed anche le interpretazioni si sono dimostrate non banali né scontate. Tutti i partecipanti si stringevano le mani l’un l’altro, per farsi coraggio, mentre scorrevano gli ultimi minuti prima dell’inizio della competizione.
E così spente le ultime luci, tutto ciò che restava era buio e silenzio...
All’improvviso sullo schermo è comparso il video di 10 anni di attività di uno dei primi gruppi del cosplay italiano: i Magic Knights!
Il tema scelto per questo Romics era molto importante per tutti noi e soprattutto per i fondatori dei MK, Massimo e Simona, che hanno riportato alla luce e ricostruito gli abiti del fumetto di Magic Knight Rayearth, da cui il gruppo ha preso nome, e con i quali hanno vinto la loro prima gara di cosplay.
Ognuno di noi aveva sicuramente il personaggio che meglio si adattava alle proprie caratteristiche: Zagart, Emeraude, Alcyone, LaFarga, Cardina e Plesea ci si modellavano addosso come una seconda pelle...
Le armature non sono state molto difficoltose da costruire, ma sicuramente molto scomode da portare! In ogni caso: ne è valsa la pena!!! L’emozione che abbiamo provato,guardando le foto sullo schermo o sentendo la gente entusiasta, di sicuro è difficile da esprimere a parole.
Lo spettacolo è andato benissimo ed è stato racchiuso in poco tempo. Cosi il rappresentante Nipponico del World Cosplay Summit si è divertito molto con i mille cosplayer presenti.
La coppia vincitrice per il WCS Maria Emiliozzi e Verena Fusari che interpretavano Umi e Fuu di Magic Knight Rayearth, ha sbaragliato le altre coppie con i propri splendidi abiti e sicuramente per l’incredibile sorriso.
Il premio Speciale Magic Knights è stato giustamente e a furor di popolo assegnato, ad una sexy Nadia Baiardi che inetrpretava Shiva tratto dal videogioco Final Fantasy X, mentre il premio Miglior Gruppo è andato al "sanguinario" e splendido Gruppo di Van Helsing, tratto dall’omonimo film.
Il premio Miglior Oggettistica di Scena è stato vinto da un’affascinante e sofferente (per la pesantezza) Paolo Onori assieme a Tina Dongarrà che interpretavano Hazuhiko e Suu tratti da Clover.
La ciliegina sulla torta è stata una timida ed incantevole Xiao Mei (dal film La foresta dei pugnali Volanti) interpretata da Ginevra Fusari, che si è aggiudicata il premio Miglior Personaggio Femminile.
E per ultimo "il migliore" nel vero senso della parola, il vincitore del premio Miglior Personaggio Maschile, vinto da Paolo La Manna che interpretava uno spettacolare e impeccabile Yojinbo da Final Fantasy X.
Questa è stata una manifestazione perfetta sotto molti aspetti, per l’affiatamento che c’era tra la gente, tra chi lavorava, per tutte le amicizie che sono nate, per tutti i sorrisi regalati, e soprattutto per chi era riuscito a ritrovare quel bambino che è sempre dentro di noi, che ci fa sognare e che troppo spesso dimentichiamo.
Marvellous autumns days framed the 6th edition of Romics, comics and animation festival. From the first day you may feel in the air the desire of meet, swap comments and impressions on costumes and characters. Stand, shows, previews, all were ready to welcome fans who queued before the gates since early morning to enter in that animated worlds.
Usual roleplaying and challenges were placed into courtyard and a completely renewed and improved ludic area.
A great guest star like Silver, famous designer of our blue “Lupo Alberto” made people doing very long queues to have a sketch. A very kind person Silver, with him we passed pleasant hours, he even decided to stay there another day! Apart from this, another important appointment was the one with the Japanese designer, Satoshi Kon, who made students having a lot of fun with his drawings and cartoons.
And this year too the famous Dubbing Gala made all seats in Palafiera full in occasion of the assignation of Ferruccio Amendola award, it was a great success. In the meantime we gathered more than 100 inscriptions, for the cosplay contest, per day. New rules, carefully read and subscribed by each competitor, didn’t cause this time big troubles or general discontent. Selections, done on Saturday and Sunday, gave to each one the opportunity to climb on the stage and exhibit. And at least arrived the fatidic contest day, which seemed it would be more problematic than usual: in fact there were a lot of costumes competing and a lot of them were realized very precisely, on average costumes quality it was really better than preceding years, and plays too were neither banal nor expected. All the competitors holded their hands one another to be brave, while the last minutes befor competition were passing.
And so, when last lights went down there was only darkness and silence…
Suddenly on the screen appeared a video showing 10 years of the one first Italian cosplay group activity: Magic KnightS.
Subject we chose was very relevant for all of us and in particular forMasimo and Simona, who took out again and reconstructed costumes of Magic Knight Rayheart, the manga which gave name to the group, and with which costumes they won their first award.
Each one of us played certainly the character best fitting to his own characteristics: Zagart, Emeraude, Alcyone, LaFarga, Cardina e Plesea were like a second skin for us.
Armours weren’t difficult to be made, but certainly very uncomfortable to wear! Anyway: it was worth it!
The emotion we felt watching to the pictures on the screen or hearing people’s enthusiastic applause is really hard to be expressed by words. Show was a success and was not long. So the Japanese ambassador of WCS had a lot of fun with all the cosplayers.
The opportunity to participate to WCS this year was won by Maria Emiliozzi and Verena Fusari who played Umi and Fuu from Magic Knight Rayheart, they defeated other couples both by marvellous costumes and smile.
Special Magic KnightS award was assigned by general approval to a sexy Nadia Baiardi who played Shiva from videogame Final Fantasy X, the “best group award” was won by a great and bloody Van Helsing group (from the homonymous movie).
The “best gadget award” was won by Paolo Onori with Tina Dongarrà who played Hasuhiko e Suu from Clover.
Final touch to the contest was given by a shy and enchanting Xiao Mei (from "Shi mian mai fu" movie) played by Ginevra Fusari who won the “best female character award”.
And last but not least, the real best cosplayer, who won the “best male character award” playing a spectacular and impeccable Paolo La Manna from Final Fantasy X.
It was a perfect happening by a lot points of view, for the harmony between audience, workers, for the numerous friendships who were born, for all the smiles and most of all because lot of us could recover the little baby who’s always in each of us, he make us dreaming but too many time we forget it! |
