La quarta edizione di Romics è nata sotto il segno della devastazione (che Sailor Moon invidiosa ci abbia scatenato contro una spedizione punitiva di Sailor Saturn?): devastante il lavoro preparatorio, pieno di tensioni il clima per molteplici motivi e veramente stancante la gestione di tutto l’evento. Comunque non ci siamo lasciti abbattere ed il risultato è stato ugualmente secondo noi molto buono e speriamo anche apprezzato. L’edizione di Romics 2004 è stata la prima dove, durante la gara di cosplay, abbiamo cantato dal vivo, il che ha contribuito molto ad aumentare la nostra, già alta, tensione .
Come nel 2003 sono stati presentati dei piccoli spettacoli durante i giorni di Romics, uno tratto dal nostro ormai collaudato repertorio (Rurouni Kenshin) e l’altro totalmente nuovo ed ispirato a “Chobits”. Impossibile descrivere le giornate passate a cucire e incollare… pezze di stoffa che volavano ovunque, aghi e fili piantati nei posti più impensati (comprese parti mooolto sensibili….) e colla, colla dappertutto: sui tavoli, sulle sedie, sugli occhiali, nei capelli… ah beh sì, un po’ pure sui costumi! Il pezzo forte doveva, come sempre, essere lo spettacolo legato alla gara ed ispirato a Final Fantasy X2, beh non vi diciamo cosa e quanto c’è voluto per realizzare il costume di Tidus…
Un ricordo simpatico è stata la collaborazione che abbiamo avuto durante la gara con il gruppo musicale dei ‘Raggi Fotonici’, che ci hanno aiutati ad ingannare il tempo in attesa della giuria (che davamo per dispersa) e, dopo la gara, hanno accettato di eseguire una serie dei loro brani.

The fourth edition of Romics is born under the sign of devastation (is it possible that Sailor Moon, envious, send Sailor Saturn against us?): devastating were the preparatory works, full of tension the atmosphere due to numerous causes and really tiring the management of the happening. By the way we didn’t let to the situation to dishearten us, and the results it was, in our opinion, good and we also hope appreciated. The Romics edition of 2004 it was the first in which we sang live, and this certainly contributed to increase the tension.
As in the preceding editions we present some little plays, each day a different one, one taken from our repertory (Rurouni Kenshin) and one new and inspired to “Chobits”. Quite impossible to describe the days we spent sawing and gluing… there were pieces of clothes flying everywhere, threads and nails hammered in the most unthinkable places (including very very very sensitive parts of our bodies!) and glue, glue on everything: tables, chairs, glasses, hair…well obviously on costumes we were making! Our best realization as usual had to be the play connected to the contest, which was inspired to Final Fantasy X 2, well we won’t say how and what we had to do to realize Tidus’s costume…
A nice memory is the cooperation we had with the “Ragi Fotonici” band, who helped us to kill time while we were expecting the jury, and who after the end of the contest accepted to play some of their songs.
