Chobits è stata una vera impresa, sia per quanto riguarda la realizzazione dei costumi, sia per quanto riguarda coreografie e messa in scena. Abbiamo lavorato per mesi senza sosta per portare a termine questo progetto a cui tenevamo tantissimo e che abbiamo portato avanti in contemporanea con un secondo altrettanto importante ed impegnativo che doveva essere presentato negli stessi giorni a Romics 2004. Abbiamo passato giorni (e notti) intere a incollare, cucire, dipingere… ma alla fine siamo riusciti nel nostro intento e costumi e coreografie erano pronte per il grande giorno. Vestire i panni dei personaggi di Chobits è stato abbastanza semplice per tutti, tranne che per Simona, che per poter vestire i panni del computer più famoso dei fumetti ha dovuto sopportare ore di trucco per sistemare le note ‘orecchie’, le innumerevoli parti del vestito ed i diversi pezzi della parrucca. In un certo senso la preparazione è stata molto simile a quella della vestizione di una bambola, infatti a causa dell’abito Simona non poteva muoversi e quindi vestirsi da sola. Ciliegina sulla torta: durante lo spettacolo parte la musica ed il famoso anello di Hideki si va ad infilare tra i capelli di Chii, è stato un attimo di panico, poteva scappare tutta la parrucca ma con uno strattone i capelli erano salvi, il polso di Massimo, che interpretava Hideki, dolorante e l’anello frantumato.

To realize Chobits was really an enterprise both for the making of costumes and choreography. We work for months without stopping to finish our project, which was very important to us, also because in the same time we were realizing costumes for another cosplay which had to be played in the same days during Romics 2004. we spent days and nights gluing,sewing, painting… but we reached our aim and all was ready to be used in the settled day. To wear dresses of Chobits characters was rather simple for the most part of us, except for SImona, who needed, to be able to play the part of the most famous mangas computer, hours of make up sessions. In fact it took a lot of time to wear the complicate dress, the ears, and the big wig, and we had to help her because of the dress which didn’t allowed her to do it by herself. The most topic moment: we were ready to start the play, the music turns on and… and the ring of Hideki hung to Chii’s wig! Panic! But with a precise and firm hitch Massimo (who played Hideki) went out of the trouble. A little bit of pain for Massimo’s wrist, the rig completely damaged but the play was safe.
