E’ sorprendente come, a volte, le cose inaspettate possano essere le più belle.
Frequentavo un’Accademia Teatrale quando Massimo e Simona mi vollero incontrare. Me lo ricordo perfettamente quel giorno. Eravamo in un bar e faceva molto caldo, cominciarono a spiegarmi cosa era il ‘Cosplay’ e perchè era diventato una prerogativa nella loro vita e, di come erano nati come gruppo. Non avevo mai sentito parlare di quel fenomeno ma rimasi entusiasta del progetto e, ci mettemmo subito d’accordo per il mio primo servizio fotografico.
Il tema era il fumetto Wedding Peach, ragazze che combattono con l’abito da sposa in nome dell’amore (non vi ricorda un po’ qualcuno che combatteva in… nome della Luna???).
Fu una giornata divertentissima, ma rimasi veramente scioccata quando scoprii che gli abiti erano interamente cuciti da loro, per l’estrema precisione dei particolari e, per la forte necessità di farli assomigliare più possibile all’originale. Erano perfetti!
Vidi la passione nei loro occhi, e vidi anche che in loro non si era assopito quel bambino che ciascuno ha dentro di sé, questo spirito li aveva portati a fare del Cosplay un hobby che sta a mezzo tra il sogno e la realtà, tutto ciò mi spinse ad entrare in questo mondo meraviglioso.
Col tempo trovai in Massimo e Simona due amici su cui contare, persone genuine, vere e incredibilmente forti.
Quelle foto di Wedding Peach, segnarono la mia consacrazione e la mia entrata ufficiale come membro dei Magic Knights.

It’s really surprising how sometimes the most unespectd things are the most beautiful. I attended to a theatre academy when Massimo and Simona wanted to meet me. I perfectly remember that day. We were in a coffee shop and it was very warm. They explained to me what cosplay is, why it is so important in their life and how did their cosplay group born. I never heard before about cosplay but I was enthusiastic of the project they purposed me, and we reached an agreement about my first photographic service.
The service was inspired to Wedding Peach manga, three girls fighting in the name of love (a parody of Sailor Moon). It was very amusing to do it, but I was really surprised when they told me they made the costumes by themselves, especially for the extreme precision of details and the resemblance with the original. Those costumes were perfect!
I read passion in their eyes, and I saw also that the little boy living in everyone of us was already asleep in Massimo and Simona, this spirit brought them to make of cosplay a hobby between dreams and reality, all of these things made me entering in this marvellous world. As time went on I found in Massimo and Simona two friends to count on, spontaneous, real and incredibly strong. Those pictures signed my official entering into Magic Knights.
